Doings are transpiring

I am emerging from the darkness to inform you that we are working on a rebuild of Momentile.com.

I know that we haven’t been super-responsive to the feedback emails and bug reports. But, rest assured, we do care and we want you to continue to enjoy Momentile well into the future. Hence, the rebuild.

The new Momentile will be built on more stable, modern technologies and integrate with social networks (e.g. Twitter and Facebook) much more smoothly. The goal is to distill the Momentile experience into a polished, robust and reliable service.

I can’t give a timeline of when we’ll be launching the new site, but the wheels are in motion (functional requirements are complete, o_O!). So, please accept my apologies if I haven’t responded to your feedback or support requests and know that a better Momentile experience is on the way.

Working in a code mine

Hello both of you who will read this:

Derek and I have been toiling away this month putting together some pretty sweet new features to enhance your Momentile-ing pleasure. At the moment, I cannot reveal what they are, just know that they are rad. That being said, we’re going to need some kind users like you to help us test these new features before they go live. If you’d like to volunteer for this mission, direct message us or @momentile us on Twitter. I will contact you with all the particulars.

Also, more cool stuff will be happening to the iPhone app as well. Again, I can’t say what that is, but rest assured it too will be rad.

And that’s about it for now. I’ll try to write an entry every week so any interested parties can check in on what we’re doing down in the Momentile code mines.

Thanks,

Breckenridge Brewery Event: The Recap

So the Breckenridge Brewery event has come and gone and, all in all, I think everyone had a good time (maybe that had to do with the free beer, just a little). Also, I would like to thank all of you who participated in the online event, and in the on-site event. You are the ones who really made this event a success, so I say this with all seriousness: Huzzah!

And, if you missed it, the winners were:

Carface (http://momentile.com/carface) for the “Favorite Place to Drink Beer” contest.

the77 (http://momentile.com/the77) for the “Celebrate Beer with Us” contest.

Let’s give them a nice golf clap style round of applause (even though they don’t really need it because they each got a case of Breck beer and that should make them feel pretty good, but let’s be civil here shall we?). If you missed out on any of this action, you can check out all the ‘tiles from the event here: http://momentile.com/events/breckbrews

This event was our way of saying thanks to all of you Momentilers out there and a way for us to test a few new things out that we think will enhance your Momentiling in the near future. So, 1000 thanks to everyone again, and don’t stop-a-momentile-ing!

An actual, real post! Holy crap!

Our blog here hasn’t gotten much love from us in the past. Well, truthfully, no love, at all, completely devoid of love, loveless, forlorn, I could go on.

I’m here to brush the cyber dust (which I imagine is extraneous 1s and 0s that lost their way) off our little cyber diary here and finally give it the attention it deserves. What does this mean for you, the Momentile user? Allow me to answer that question in the following paragraph.

Our original, and current hope for this blog is to make into a one-stop place for all news Momentile. Such as event announcements, new product and feature releases, calls for beta warriors, etc. This way we don’t have to send you an email, which we want to reserve for really important things (like outages). We may also post feature ideas here so the user community can discuss them and help us decide what features are needed most and how they should be implemented.

So, this has been a real post, not just a place holder post (which is really the equivalent of one of those “under construction” websites, barf). And I will certainly strive to update frequently as to encourage you to come back here and see what’s up behind the scenes at Momentile.
